"The works" - a simple way to order a complete electrophoresis setup when you're starting from scratch. A complete set includes the apparatus and glass plates (one notched/ one unnotched), comb(s), spacers, power cords, and clamps to match.

Horizontal Systems (includes gel tray and comb holder)

Horizontal systems are available in a variety of sizes with single or double buffers. These units can accomodate agarose gels up to 13 mm (.51") thick. You can order these systems a la carte or as complete sets (which include all necessary accessories - see "The works" above).

Sequencing Systems

Sequencing systems are available in fixed or adjustable heights with single or double buffers. The removable aluminum plate distributes heat evenly throughout the gel, resulting in consistently flat banding patterns. Our systems are easy to disassemble for thorough cleaning. These sequencing systems use our standard picket fence or sharktooth combs, spacers and matching glass plates.

Vertical Systems

These systems are designed for for separation of macromolecules on agarose or polyacrylamide gels. Vertical gel systems are available in fixed or adjustable heights with single or double buffers. The standard adjustable units can move between 20 cm and 36 cm in height (7.8"~14.1").

Two Dimensional Electrophoresis System

The two-dimensional (2D) separation of genomic digests provides the means to analyze over 2000 unique restriction fragments simultaneously in a single gel for genetic variation as well as for genomic alterations in cancer. The tube gel is used for the first dimension and the vertical sequencing electrophoresis unit is used for the second dimension.

Diffusion Gradient Chamber System

The DGC system is designed to establish multiple diffusion gradients of small soluble molecules within a semi-solid gel. It is an extremely useful tool for isolating microorganisms and studying microbial growth and behavior under environmentally relevant conditions. It also has potential applications in cell culture.
